How long will it take to get my book submission edits back?
There are 365 of you and we are a small team! We are working hard to give each and every submission the attention it deserves and getting back to you with edits ASAP! You will have the opportunity to review your edits and see your page layout preview a minimum of one time before we go to print.
How long should my submission for the book component be?
We have made your submission length for the book component as easy to remember as possible! Each submission for pursuit:365 should be up to 365 words long. This should include your third-person intro sentence and a first-person account of your pursuit of fulfillment, success, and happiness.
How many people are being featured in pursuit:365?
In a year with exactly 365 days so we will be featuring 365 incredible individuals – one for every single day of the year starting January 1st all the way until December 31st!
When will the book be launched?
Our 2022 edition will be published and distributed starting in June 1st 2022 (International Say Something Nice Day)!
What is the digital component of pursuit:365?
In addition to the physical books being published and launched in June, we will be featuring each co-author on their actual date on Fresh Magazine digital, our pursuit:365 website, and all accompanying social media accounts!
Your digital component can include links, click-throughs, social media handles, current or upcoming projects, and more photos! You are asked to submit this component on the first of the month prior to your feature date. (Example: if your date is April 7th, your due date is March 1st. and if your feature date is August 29th, your due date is July 1st.)
What if I submit my digital edits/adds late?
We are all successful women in business which means we understand the importance of deadlines! If you are unable to submit your digital additions by your cutoff date [the first day of the month prior], then we will be publishing the text from your book submission as your digital component. We will make efforts to remind you and link your social media if we have that on file from you!
Why can’t I have a picture of my entire family and all my friends with me in my featured picture in the book?
We love that you are so passionate about your family and chosen family – but this book is all about you and giving you a platform to celebrate yourself and other women across the country so your submitted photo should be of you and include no other humans. We should be able to see who you are, but not have to guess which one is you.
What resolution does my photo need to be for pursuit:365?
Any photo(s) you submit for the book component or digital component should be 300ppi or “high-resolution.” Low-resolution photos will be flagged and we will contact you for a new photo. *Your photo does not need to be a professional headshot although those are welcome also!
Where do I start when writing my submission?
This is a great question! If you don’t know where to start, please see our submission guideline for prompts. If you require extra guidance and support through your writing process, we will be posting about those opportunities and how to access them.
Will I get to see what my final page looks like before it is published?
Yes! You will get a preview of your page before we go to print. When you receive the proof, you will have 48 hours to approve or flag any major issues, and no stylistic edits can be made at this time. Upon approval or at the end of 48 hours, your submission will be locked in and you’re all set! Next step – launch!
